The 1000 Islands Regatta is pleased to announce 54 40 and Honeymoon Suite as the headlining music acts for the 10th edition of the festival in 2017. 54 40 will perform opening night on Friday June 30th with Honeymoon Suite closing the Festival Sunday July 2nd. The 10th annual 1000 Islands Regatta will open its gates at 5pm with local dignitaries hosting an opening ceremony on the festival main stage at 6pm. Opening act Healy & Orr will then hit the stage followed by 54 40.
Canadian rock icons 54 40, who have achieved gold and platinum sales status over a long and storied career, returns to Brockville on June 30th to perform hits including “Ocean Pearl,” “I Go Blind,” & “Casual Viewing.”
54 40 will be inducted into the Hall of Fames at both the 17th Annual Independent Music Awards (The INDIES) and the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards on April 19th and 20th respectively.
Canada day, Friday July 1st will feature a Canada 150th celebration like no other including hydroplane racing starting at 1030am with a night of free music entertainment headlined by the Tony Silvestri Band and a fireworks display starting at 10PM.
Sunday July 2nd will start off at 1030AM with the final day of hydroplane racing followed by Canadian classic rockers HONEYMOON SUITE, who have also achieved gold and multiple platinum sales status over a very successful career in both Canada & the US, returns to Brockville on July 2nd to perform hits including “New Girl Now,” “Feel It Again,” & “Love Changes Everything.”
This year’s festival, running June 30th to July 2nd sees the return of popular festival activities in addition to the hydroplane races with a focus on musical entertainment, craft vendors, food vendors & a further expanded kid’s zone. The kids zone is expected to grow again this year with multiple inflatable bouncy castles for children, appearances by children’s characters Elsa & Anna, mini-putt and a live performance by local musician Rynestone.
1000 Islands Regatta will also be one of the 45 events to host the Healthy Kids Community Challenge, bringing their “Veggie Roundup Roadshow” to communities across Leeds and Grenville where they hope to introduce children and families to new ways of enjoying vegetables and fruit. They will be highlighting their Smoothie Bike which houses a blender and uses human power to blend nutritious and delicious beverages made from vegetables and fruits.

Capacity for the concerts are limited, with all advanced tickets given priority; front of line access to the concerts all weekend. Draws for back stage passes will also be done leading up to the event with 30 ticket holders getting the chance to meet & greet with 54 40 & Honeymoon Suite before the shows.
