Autumn Colours, 1000 Islands Style

It’s that time of year again, when summer officially turns to fall. Crisp air (it’s coming!), sweater weather, apple picking, and pumpkin spiced beverages all come to mind when this time of year rolls around. On top of all this, there is one important Fall aspect we can’t forget– when the leaves change to vibrant colours, painting the forested landscape beautifully. Luckily for us, the 1000 Islands region offers some unique ways to see these colourful changes. Here are just a few ideas to help you make the most out of this wonderful time of year:

What better way to take in the beautiful autumn landscape, then be immersed in the forest canopy itself? Fly through the trees on numerous zip lines, or test your skills as you climb through the aerial treks. Enjoy the outdoors and get active at Skywood, where there is an adventure waiting for everyone! Open Thursday-Sunday 9am-5pm, and Monday to Wednesday by appointment only.
1000 Islands Tower

Breathtaking views await at the 1000 Islands Tower, located on Hill Island. A short elevator ride to the top of the tower offers awe-inspiring 360 degree views, and the perfect place to see the autumn colours from unique bird’s eye point of view. Don’t forget your camera!
The tower is open until October 21st, and is offering sunset viewing on Oct 6th and 7th. For more information please click here.

Grab your jacket and enjoy a fall cruise from Brockville, Rockport, or Gananoque this fall.
