10 Things to do in February 2018!

At this time of year, it tends to seem like winter just goes on, and on. Thankfully, Brockville has some great events and activities to keep you busy, and help you enjoy this chilly time! Here’s 10 ideas to help make your February a month to remember!
1. Outdoor Skating
Head on over to the Laurier Hill rink or the Rotary Park rink for some outdoor skating fun! Whether you’re looking to attend a family skate, or a pick up hockey game, you’ll find specific times for each so everyone can enjoy! Click here for skate times. Check out the “Snow Ball” on February 10 from 6pm-10pm at the Rotary Park, and enjoy hot chocolate, while skating along to a DJ and a lights show – for free!
2. Romantic Dinner Date
Valentine’s Day of course falls in February, although that doesn’t mean that it’s the only day to take your sweetheart out for dinner! Whether it is on February 14th, or another evening, treat that special someone to a romantic dinner date at one of the fabulous restaurants in Brockville. If romance isn’t in the cards right now, enjoy a good meal with a friend, or treat your awesome self!
3. Brockville Museum Winter Lecture Series
It’s the 15th year for the Winter Lecture Series at the Brockville Museum, and it will be another popular one! Beginning on February 6, listen to great speakers, presenting a wide variety of interesting topics!
4. Shop Downtown
Shop local at many of the wonderful shops in Downtown Brockville this month. Spring will be here before we know it (it really will be!), so you may be able to score some great deals on winter apparel as shops make room for spring styles!
5. Ultimate Brunch
Sunday’s are a time to relax…and for brunch! Enjoy the delicious ultimate brunch buffet at the Tall Ships South Coast Grille. The extensive menu will suit just about everyone’s tastes – you can check it out here! We can bet that you won’t be going home hungry!
6. Watch a Braves Game
Hockey and winter complement each other quite nicely, so why not catch a Junior A. Brockville Braves game on their Friday night home games. Sip on a hot chocolate, munch on some French fries, and enjoy the game!
7. Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
Who doesn’t love a good mystery, and a tasty dinner?! Tall Ships South Coast Grille will be hosting “An Evening of Murder”, presented by Eddie May Mysteries on February 24th. This will be one hilarious, fun, and interactive dinner theatre experience!
8. Winter Classic Weekend
The Brockville Winter Classic Weekend on February 16-19th  will be 4 days full of winter fun, in perfect time for family day too! There will events happening throughout the weekend, including Downtown Brockville’s Party in the Parkette, a New York Rangers Legends Alumni game, and an RBC Family Day Skate. Bring the family out for a fun night in the world of Willy Wonka on February 15-17! The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory lights up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale
10. Front of Yonge/Mallorytown Winter Festival
Celebrate the winter season with this 2 day family-oriented festival on February 16-17th! Jam-packed with activities for all ages, check this fun event out over family day weekend!
