Brockville’s Past Comes to Life with ‘Live History’

This spring, Fulford Place Museum will become the setting for Mary’s Odyssey and Catherine’s Creed, two exciting interactive shows produced by the theatre company Live History.

During each hour-long show, audiences will step into a suspense-filled story, finding clues and unraveling mysteries as they tour this magnificent 20,000-square-foot Edwardian mansion.

In Mary’s Odyssey, the audience will help a maid solve a mystery and uncover a long-hidden treasure. Catherine’s Creed calls on spectators to set Catherine free by piecing together a puzzle left by a recently deceased public figure.

The shows are designed for audiences aged 13 and over. Tickets go on sale April 4. Space is limited; tickets may be purchased at the door or reserved in advance by calling 613-498-3003.

Performances: April 23-24, and May 6-8, 2016

Attention Lords and Ladies! The Lord of this Manor wishes to cordially invite you to help solve a long standing mystery, stepping back in time to experience history as it unfolds before your very eyes!

Come join the young maid, Mary as she takes you on a tour of the historic house. Using Homer’s The Odyssey as the cipher, we present you a unique experience, as the audience assists Mary in solving a long-hidden mystery, leading to a treasure. The show is a journey back to a time when the house was alive with the past. The audience will experience much about love, loss and honor while being guided through by the one set of eyes that has seen all in this home.

This will be a great opportunity to showcase your local history as well as infuse your community with the flavor local talent can bring. CATHERINE’S CREED

Attention, local community members! An elder, loyal, wealthy member of the community has passed away. They promised to leave most of their fortune to a good cause, but in their own mysterious way.

Come join Catherine, who was born and raised in the town, shortly after the funeral of an important figure. The recently deceased was the only person who understood her unique personality and views on the world. But now, you will join forces with her in order to find a hidden treasure. The recently deceased has sent each of you odd clues, letters and objects, and it is up to you to solve the puzzle and set Catherine free. This show is perfect for historic churches, or smaller venues with 1-2 rooms available.
