  • Catch a movie on the big screen, with popcorn and all! At Galaxy Cinemas, two new movies are coming out in Feb 13th, “Happy Death Day 2U” for the horror fans, and “Isn’t It Romantic” fun rom-com for a girls’ outing!

Vacant building to sports heaven, Stingers has seriously got it all (and even more soon!). From indoor paintball, to laser tag, to an indoor soccer turf, it’s a hot spot for locals and visitors across South Eastern Ontario. It’s easy to get active and get your adrenaline pumping, while also having fun! Discover Stingers through a few photos we captured during our visit! Indoor Paintball is where it all started for Stingers. The paintball area is massive, 16,000 sq feet to be exact! The field is full of bunkers, hideouts, old cars, and two storey buildings either end!

Maybe Airsoft or laser tag are up your alley! Stingers houses one of Canada’s largest indoor laser tag field (17,000 sq feet!) that will get your blood pumping. Heads up, the glow in the dark section is a little creepy (but the good kind)!
Whether you’re experienced in airsoft, or a newbie all are welcome to get in on the CQB (close quarter combat), action on the 17,000 sq foot field!

Looking for a birthday party location? Look no further! The kids will have a blast with their buddies with paintball or laser tag, plus the parents can watch all the action happening – without being in the action!

Gorgeous views of the Islands make this location a little piece of paradise! Step out onto the dock, or walk the along the top of the rocks for some lovely lookout views. Don’t forget to bring your pup along for a photoshoot!

The Brock Trail
This 7km trail runs from Brockville’s waterfront, all the way up to Mac Johnson Wildlife Area. Along the way you’ll follow Buell’s Creek, cross cute bridges, walk through a railway tunnel underpass, and much more! You really never know what you’ll come across, that will create the perfect winter scene… like the photo above!

Downtown Brockville’s main street is lined with historical buildings and eye catching architecture. King Street East boasts large beautiful homes aka. “Millionaires Row”, and there are also hidden architectural gems along the side streets of downtown that you will not want to miss!

The winter season at Mac Johnson Wildlife does not disappoint! Keep your eye out for birds and animals on your nature walk, snowshoe or cross country ski adventure. Capture an action shot on the skating rink, or a perfect couples shot on the dock.
Upcoming event: CRCA Winter Fun Day in Brockville – among many activities , there will be dog sled races which could make for some neat photos!

Come and learn about the complex and varied ecosystems of the St. Lawrence River at the Aquatarium, where you’ll get an up-close look at some of the many diverse animals and natural wonders of the region. There are even several replica ships that are found in the St. Lawrence River, as well as amazing experiences such as green screen adventures and a salt water touch tank!

Christmas Gingerbread House Decorating for Kids!

Start a New Tradition! Check out the PC Cooking School at the Superstore to decorate your very own gingerbread house. They provide the gingerbread house, royal icing, and all the candies, and you have a blast decorating. It’s an hour and a half drop off class for kids 6-11, or if kids are 2-5 they must be accompanied by an adult.

On Friday night, take part in the Ghost Talk and Screaming contest at the Glasgow House. On Saturday afternoon at the Clock Tower, there will be a Scarecrow contest, zombie walk, car show, live music, vendors, and trick or treating on main st.! 
Come for the haunted tour, shopping, ghoulish munchies and more! Catch the participants of the Prescott Zombie Walk by coming early. Dress up, come as you are, and bring something to contribute to the food drive. Support our local South Grenville Foodbank. Visit between 4:30pm-8:00pm.
Spirits of the Mill

Crisp air (it’s coming!), sweater weather, apple picking, and pumpkin spiced beverages all come to mind when this time of year rolls around. On top of all this, there is one important Fall aspect we can’t forget– when the leaves change to vibrant colours, painting the forested landscape beautifully. Breathtaking views await at the 1000 Islands Tower, located on Hill Island. A short elevator ride to the top of the tower offers awe-inspiring 360 degree views, and the perfect place to see the autumn colours from unique bird’s eye point of view. Don’t forget your camera!
