Christmas Markets and Santa Sightings 2019
We are six weeks away from Christmas, and it’s going to start coming up very quick at this point. If you have a lot of gifts to buy, or you want to find that perfect, unique item, now is the time to begin looking! Luckily, the Brockville area is filled with Christmas bazaars and markets where crafters will be selling their merchandise that they have been perfecting all year.
Christmas Bazaars and Fairs
Annual Bazaar and Bake Sale
Where: Athens United Church, 17 Church Street, Athens
When: November 16th, 12pm – 2pm
Notes: The Athens United Church is an accessible building, and there is no admittance fee for this bazaar.

42 Annual Arts and Crafts Show & Sale
Where: South Grenville DHS, Edward Street, Prescott
When: November 16th, 9am – 4pm
Notes: This bazaar, hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Prescott, is the 42nd of its kind. Admission is $3 a person, and children under 12 are free when accompanied by parents. There will be free parking and free babysitting. 100% of the proceeds fund the Kinsmen Club of Prescott and the annual Spirit of Giving campaign.

Candy Cane Lane Holiday Bazaar and Lunch
Where: First Presbyterian Church, 10 Church Street
When: November 16th, 10am – 1:30pm
Notes: Enjoy a day on Candy Cane Lane! Browse through the crafts, jams, jellies, baking, jewellery and more! Then, enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch. Free admission, lunch is $9.

Christmas at Fulford Place
Where: Fulford Place, 287 King Street East
When: November 17th, 10am – 4pm
Notes: Get to experience Christmas the way it used to be along Brockville’s Millionaire’s Row by checking out Fulford Place decorated for Christmas. There will be a Vendors Hall to do some Christmas shopping, as well as lots of baked goods from Mrs.Claus’ Bake Shoppe. Take part in the raffel, and spend the day at one of Brockville’s best historic mansions.

Yuletide Fare
Where: Wall Street United Church, 5 Wall Street
When: November 22nd 10am – 5pm, November 23rd 10am – 2pm
Notes: Christmas decorations, unique handmade gifts, pies, meats, baked goods, artisans, and a silent auction. Bid on old and new treasures and certificates.

Annual Christmas Bazaar
Where: Brockville Legion, 180 Park Street
When: November 24, 9am – 2pm
Notes: Hosted by the Ladies Auxilary Branch 96, you are invited to come to to the legion. There will be door prizes, food at the canteen, and 25 local vendors. Admission is free, and the building is wheel chair accessible.

Friends of the Brockville Public Library Bake Sale
Where: Brockville Public Library, 23 Buell Street
When: November 29th and 30th, 9am – 5pm
Notes: Hosted by the Friends fo the Brockville Public Library, this bake sale will go towards supporting the library.

St Johns United Church Annual Holiday Food Festival
Where: St Johns United Church, 32 Park Street
When: November 30th 9am -2pm
Notes: The annual St John’s Food Festival features Christmas baking, ready-for-you meals, lots of small gift opportunities, crafted presents, “new-to-you” items, Wilton cheese, raffle baskets and seasonal greenery. There will be a soup and sandwich lunch from 11:30am – 1pm for $8 a person.

St John Bosco School Annual Cookie Vendor Walk
Where: St Johns Bosco School (12 Durham Street)
When: November 30th 9am -2pm
Notes: Select from a variety of holiday cookies and treats, and shop from over 40 local vendors. There will be amazing themed raffle baskets, and who knows, maybe Santa will make a visit!

Brockville Christmas Market
Where: Tunnel Plaza, 1 Water Street
When: November 30th 11am – 6pm, December 1st 11am – 4pm
Notes: The first edition of the Brockville Christmas Market will be taking place on November 30th-December 1st. It is an outdoor event, so dress for the elements.

Brockville Off-Leash Dog Park Santa Pictures
Where: Brockville Off Leash Dog Park, 138 Broadway Avenue
When: November 16th, 11am – 2pm
Notes: All are welcome to bring their dogs to the Off-Leash Dog Park to get a photo with Santa! It is $10 for a print or digital copy, and $15 for both. Off Leash Dog Park calendars will also be available for $20 each.

Notes: Come bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Toy Mountain campaign and donations of non-perishable food items for Harvest Sharing, and get to meet Santa!

Christmas at Fulford Place
Where: Fulford Place, 287 King Street East
When: November 17th, 10am – 4pm
Notes: Fulford Place is all decked out for Christmas and ready to visit! Tickets to meet Victorian Santa can be bought through Eventbrite, but even if you couldn’t get a ticket to meet with Santa, there is lots to see! The rooms are decorated for Christmas, and there will be a silent auction – the Gingerbread House Challenge! Local public figures and businesses have accepted the challenge and will donate their own unique houses. Come bid on your favourite! As well, there will be a vendors hall where you can do your Christmas shopping or take part in the raffle. Entrance is by donation.

Notes: Make sure your fur-babies get to meet with Santa and tell him their Christmas wishes as well! There is a large choice of options for photos with Santa in print or digital format.

Brockville Rotary Club Santa Claus Parade
Where: King Street, Brockville
When: November 30th, 5:00pm – 7:45pm
Notes: This year’s Santa Claus Parade is themed “A Dickens of a Christmas”. Santa, Mrs Claus, and many parade floats, bands, and decorated people will make their way down King Street to kick off the Christmas season into high gear.

Clow’s Christmas Trail
Where: King Street, Brockville
When: December 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th – 6pm – 9pm
Notes: Walk a 1km trail through the woods and see the forest decorated for the holidays! On the trail, you will see many Christmas displays such as a Nativity Scene, the North Pole post office, the candy shop, the Elves lodge, Santa’s toy shop, and many other scenes along the lit path! There may even be special visitors walking the trails!
