Safe Travel Update
Tourism as we know it has changed. Over the past year, we’ve been huddled up at home, biding our time, following protocols and staying safe as we learn more about how to navigate life in the midst of the novel COVID19 coronavirus.
The concept of “regenerative tourism” has recently emerged, which introduces a focus on injecting life back into communities by taking a sustainable and responsible approach towards tourism operations. Basically, making your adventures contribute to leaving a place better than you found it. We’re talking staying local, eating local, shopping local and exploring local. This could look like a takeout picnic in your own backyard or a weekend away in a neighbouring community (remember only to travel from green zone to green zone).
Though we’re not out of the woods yet, we’re optimistic that the tourism industry will recover and, in time, become something even greater than it once was. Until that time, get creative, get outside and create your own adventures in beautiful Brockville.
