Founded in 1914, the Brockville Country Club is an 18-hole course that spans 6343 yards. While this might not be considered long by today’s standards, the course is deceptively challenging. It has considerable elevation changes, narrow and treed fairways, challenging par 3’s and ample sand traps and water hazards. However, there are four tee blocks for the course, so people of all levels can enjoy golfing at the Brockville Country Club! There is also a large practice putting green and driving range, and a short-game practice facility for members and guests to use.

If you have a sense of adventure, Skywood is the place for you – it’s Canada’s largest aerial adventure and zipline park! You can choose from the three-hour adventure course or the two-hour zipline course. There are children areas as well, including the discovery course and the treewalk village. Be sure that you make your reservations early, as this park gets busy, especially on the weekends!

Sunnidell Golf opened in 1992, and has something for everyone on this 18-hole course. The holes range from 87 yards to 222 yards, and averages at about 135 yards per hole throughout the course. According to Sunnidell, it takes good chipping and pitching to have a successful game at their course. To practice, be sure to visit Sunnidell throughout the winter. Their patio is converted into two golf simulators, which see a lot of action during the snowy season! Also be sure to check out the driving range and their top-level mini putt course.

Delta Fair Maple Fest
Winters can be long in Canada, but we know it’s almost over when the maple trees are tapped and the syrup begins to run. The Delta Fair Maple Festival annually marks the early beginning of spring with an all you can eat pancake breakfast, drenched with local maple syrup. There are also other activities throughout the village of Delta.
Multicultural Festival
Visit the world in one hall! Brockville’s Multicultural Festival brings booths from cultures around the world to explore and taste in the Brockville Memorial Centre. There is also a main stage providing continuous entertainment throughout the weekend.
Downtown Brockville Street Eats
Bring your appetite to downtown Brockville and taste all the different restaurants available along King Street! Hosted by the Downtown Brockville BIA, this street festival brings food trucks and vendors, live music, and even some sidewalk sales to King Street for this one-day event.
Pride Week
In the first week of June, it’s time to be proud! Pride Week takes over Brockville, with events happening throughout the city to celebrate love and to be proud of who you are and who you love. Enjoy the flag-raising, drag shows, fun runs, and cap off the week with the annual pride parade downtown.
Fairies In the Park
Once a year, St Lawrence Park gets a little more enchanted than usual during Fairies In the Park. This June festival brings out the magic in all of us. Fantasy apparel is encouraged – dress as any mythical creature you wish and enjoy a day of face painting, vendors and crafts, music and more! Boys and girls are welcome, and this is a great event for the whole family.
Island Breakfast
Take part in a truly 1000 Islands experience. Take a boat ride to Refugee Island and enjoy a full breakfast as we welcome the beginning of summer. Refugee Island is one of the city of Brockville’s municipally-owned islands, and all funds raised from this annual event go towards island enhancements, such as building a picnic pavilion on Refugee Island.
Sundays in the Park
End your weekend with beautiful music and great performances throughout the summer at Hardy Park Pavilion. Every Sunday evening throughout the summer, a local artist is featured for a concert at the pavilion in Hardy Park. Get to see some amazing local talent beside the river.
1000 Islands Regatta
Hydroplane racing is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Described as a plane without wings on water, hydroplane boats speed around a marked course on the St Lawrence River, flying over the water at heart-pounding speeds. Watch races throughout the day and enjoy concerts at night at Blockhouse Island.
Lansdowne Fair
This agricultural fair is one of the oldest running fairs around, running since 1864. The grounds come alive with horse shows, home craft exhibits, music, a midway, petting zoo, home-cooked meals, vendors, demo derby, truck and tractor pulls, and contests galore for three days in July. It’s an experience you can’t miss – it’ll give you that good ol’ country fair feeling every time!
Delta Fair
The Delta Fair has been running since 1830! Delta Fair is one of Ontario’s oldest continuously operating agricultural fairs. This summer fair features agricultural, home craft, educational, livestock and commercial exhibits. There is entertainment and activities for every member of the family, including the Worlds’ Finest Shows midway presented daily.
Automotion
Brockville plays host to one of Eastern Ontario’s best car shows on the civic holiday weekend with Automotion. Taking place at Blockhouse Island, spectators can check out the beautiful cars on display on the Sunday morning.
Ribfest
You can smell it before you see it – Brockville’s Ribfest will draw you and your taste buds in from blocks away. Hosted by Brockville’s Big Brother Big Sisters, Ribfest is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year – so know you’re helping a good cause as you decide between the half-rack or full! There’s also more than ribs available, with vendors throughout Hardy Park, as well as a kids zone.
Downtown Brockville FunFest
You know you’re going to have a good time at Funfest – fun is right in the name! Come see King Street pull out all the stops for one day in the summer with this street festival. There are fun activities up and down the street, as well as sidewalks sales, food vendors and music throughout the day!
Big River Festival
The Big River Festival is a week-long collection of events celebrating the St Lawrence River and everything it gives to us. Starting with the Canadian Canine Dock Jumping Championships, you’ll find yourself mesmerized by what these amazing dogs can do! Events happen throughout the week and throughout the city to celebrate the river, and the week is closed off with the SNOlympiad snowball throwing championship. Enjoy four days of non-stop music and celebrate the end of summer with the Red Hot and Blue Rockabilly festival! Take the opportunity to dress the part during events such as the rock’n’roll party, prom night and the Sunday cruise. There’s also a vendors market where you can shop retro-inspired clothing and memorabilia.
Brockville Culture Days
Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. At the end of each September, millions of people attend thousands of free participatory arts and culture events across the country. Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities.
Oktoberfest
Enjoy a wide variety of traditional foods including sausages, pretzels, sauerkraut, wine and a variety of beers. This 19+ event takes place in the Brockville Railway Tunnel, rain or shine.

River of Lights
Looking for something to get you in the holiday spirit? The River of Lights sound and light display will brighten the cold nights for you! Thousands of lights dance to a wide selection of music, from modern contemporary music to holiday songs. You can walk or drive through the display as well.
Christmas in Downtown Brockville
Get in the spirit of the season with Downtown Brockville! Check out the mega tree in Courthouse Square, enjoy the Santa Claus Parade, and then check out the Christmas Vendor Market afterwards. There are activities throughout December, including breakfasts with Santa and an indoor Farmers Market as well.
New Year Eve Concerts in Historic Downtown Churches
There’s no better way to ring in the new year than with music. Tour the various historic churches throughout downtown Brockville and take in some of the best in local music while counting down the hours towards the new year. It all ends with one final concert at 11pm to ring in the new year at the stroke of midnight!
